Man in Custody after Staten Island Fire

FDNY firefighters encountered heavy fire showing from the back of the multi-family house.

A man was taken into custody at a three-alarm fire on Staten Island Wednesday.

Heavy flames were engulfing the back of the multi-family home, FDNY Deputy Assistant Chief David Simms told WABC.

The fire spread to other houses. 

Neighbors said the man being taken into custody say he has a history of erratic behavior.

There were no injuries.
